Duresta Domus Collection

We are now stockist of the brand new Duresta Domus collection of sofas, suites and chairs. This new range of upholstery is a contemporary grouping of furniture with cleaner flowing lines with a completely fresh range of fabrics. There are many sofas and settees as well as corner group sofas and chaise seating modular units which you can configure to suit the space in your room. For instance below are the Haywood and Tate corner groups shown in cream fabrics with a selection of accent scatter cushions.

The Sutherland suite from the Duresta Domus range has four different settee sizes as well as an armchair. These all feature a curved front edge and arm facings. Seat interiors are made from Supawrap and the back cushion interiors can be either fibre or duck feather filled.

For a higher back there is also the Hockney group of sofas and armchair. All seat and back cushions are reversible and there are various different wood shades available to compliment the wide range of fabrics.

The Hopper range can be made in both leather or fabric and has a distinctive double are look about it, as well as Brass caster at the front leg.

New G Plan Suites for 2014

Any day now we're expecting into our showrooms the brand new launches from G Plan Upholstery. Firstly we have the Cayman suite, this collection comprises of a Three seater sofa, Two seater sofa, Chair and Footstool.

Cayman Three Seater Settee

The Cayman suite features curved wooden design running along the length of the base, up the side and underneath the cushioned arm pad. Seat cushions are reversible and the back cushions are zipped in place to hold a tidy and comfortable position. 

G Plan Cayman Two Seater Sofa

Above is the two seater settee, and below the single chair. The whole collection can be made in the full range of G Plan fabrics.

Next we have the new Eton collection from G Plan. This range can be upholstered in the full range of leathers and also fabrics. Also the Eton collection can be made as fixed or recliner actions on all sofas and chairs, either powered or manual actions.

Above you can see the reclining three seater settee in fabric and below the fixed chair in leather. On the powered recliner sofa and chairs you can see the two buttons on the inside of the arm. These buttons move the action in to the recliner positions, and then retract it back into the closed position.

This above is the manual reclining two seater settee shown in leather and as you can see the two sides recline independently of each other. There is a small loop handle on the inside of the arm that the user pulls to release the footplate mechanism.

Duresta Southsea Now in Leather

The fabulous Duresta Southsea Suite is now available in leather as you can see from the Southsea Gents Chair picture above. With its higher back and deep seat cushioning this is a very popular model from Duresta and one of our best sellers. On show at our Staffordshire showrooms you can also select the have it in the full collection of fabrics.

Above is the Southsea Large Settee in fabric Oscar Russet. This fabric has a coordinating stripe version as well, and the settee or chairs can be made with a valance if required. Below you can see the valance on a two seater settee in the stripe fabric.

Happy 75th Anniversary Duresta Upholstery !

This year is the 75th Anniversary of the formation of Duresta Upholstery of Long Eaton, Nottingham and as part of the celebrations the directors of the company hosted a party at the main factory showrooms in Long Eaton, Nottingham.
Peter & Carl, along with better halves Mary & Rosie went along to this very generous and wonderfully fun evening. We'd like to say thanks to Duresta and all the employees for a great evening and we look forward to the next 75 years with them !
